Why Raw Honey Belongs in Your Mask Jar

Raw honey is a classic humectant in DIY care — it draws water toward the skin’s surface and gives masks a soft, cushiony feel. Choose food-grade honey, keep tools clean, and never use honey in any context involving infants.

On its own, a thin layer for 10 minutes can feel soothing on dry patches. Paired with oats, it becomes the Honey Oat Softening Mask — one of our most-used pantry rituals.

How to choose: look for raw or minimally processed honey. Avoid flavored or whipped spreads with oils and sugar.

How to store: sealed, cool, and dry. Wipe the jar rim so crystals don’t invite moisture.

Try it in the Honey Oat Softening Mask.
